The Spring Ball is a delightful evening of dinner, dancing, and celebrating our friends with developmental disabilities on Friday, April 17th. There are many different ways that all ages can serve. Click on the links below to sign up to volunteer or contact Naomi Phan-Quang with any questions.

Thursday Decorating Team
When: April 16th from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
What: The Decorating Team transform Creekside into our Spring Ball venue! This team focuses on larger decor installs, stage elements, and prep work so Friday setup is smooth. Set up work will include staging décor bins for easy cleanup the next night.This team needs 6 volunteers.

Decorating and Red Carpet Set-Up Team
When: April 17th from 1:00-4:30 p.m.
What: The Decorating and Red Carpet Set-Up Team will help with final décor touches and full red carpet installation. They will secure and tape down the red carpet, set up tents and check stability, prepare photo booth area and signage, and ensure dining vs. resting areas are clearly marked. This team needs 12 volunteers.

Glam Team
When: April 17th from 4:00-6:00 p.m.
What: The Glam Team will help guests feel confident and celebrated by providing light makeup, simple hair styling, and optional accessories (ties, boas, hats if available). Early arrivals may be directed to the Glam Team to reduce congestion later. This team needs 6 volunteers.

Photography Team
When: April 17th from 6:00-9:00 p.m.
What: Volunteers with photography skills will capture joyful moments throughout the evening - red carpet, dining, Bingo, dancing, and candid interactions. They should be mindful of guest comfort and consent. This team needs 3 volunteers.

Registration Team
When: April 17th from 5:30-7:15 p.m.
What: The Registration Team will welcome guests and support staff with clarity and warmth. Their responsibilities will include checking in guests and volunteers, ensuring correct guest versus support staff designation, distributing color-coded name tags, assisting with boutonnieres and corsages, and helping manage early arrivals smoothly. This team needs 4 volunteers.

Red Carpet Experience Team
When: April 17th from 5:45-7:15 p.m.
What: The Red Carpet Experience Team will create an unforgettable entrance moment for our guests. Volunteer opportunities include: Escorts (walk guests down carpet), Cheer Team (wave pom poms, celebrate and hype!), and Red Carpet Lead (coordinates flow & spacing). We will provide clear role assignments at arrival. This is a great opportunity for families with children to serve together. This team needs 16-20 volunteers.

Exit and Paratransit Support Team
When: April 17th from 7:30-9:00 p.m.
What: The Exit and Paratransit Team will ensure guests leave feeling celebrated and cared for. They will distribute party favors, assist with ride announcements, help coordinate paratransit pickups, and offer warm goodbyes.This is a great opportunity for families with children to serve together. This team needs 3 volunteers.

Server Team - First Shift
When: April 17th from 5:30-7:00 p.m.
What: Servers will serve dinner and drinks to our guests with attentiveness and care in the Community Room and help maintain clear dining areas and maintain drink stations from 5:30-7:00 p.m. This team needs 12 volunteers.

Server Team - Second Shift
When: April 17th from 6:45-8:15 p.m.
What: Servers will continue dinner and dessert service to our guests in the Community Room and assist with light table clearing and drinks restocking from 6:45-8:15 p.m. This team needs 8 volunteers.

Connectors Team
When: April 17th from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
What: The Connectors Team will sit, dine, and build meaningful conversation with guests in the Community Room from 6:00-7:30 p.m. This role focuses on presence and friendship. This team needs 8 volunteers.

Bingo Team - First Shift
When: April 17th from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
What: The Bingo Team will help create a fun and engaging experience by setting up the Bingo area, facilitating games, and providing excellent customer service to our guests from 6:00-7:30 p.m. This team will assist with calling numbers, helping guests, distributing prizes, and resetting the game between rounds. This team needs 5 volunteers.

Bingo Team - Second Shift
When: April 17th from 7:30-9:00 p.m.
What:The Bingo Team will help create a fun and engaging experience by setting up the Bingo area, facilitating games, and providing excellent customer service to our guests from 7:30-9:00 p.m. This team will assist with calling numbers, helping guests, distributing prizes, and resetting the game between rounds. This team needs 5 volunteers.

Dance Floor Hosts
When: April 17th from 7:30-9:00 p.m.
What: The Dancing Floor Hosts Team will invite guests to dance, assist with featured dances (King/Queen moment, conga line), model dance moves, and help maintain a safe flow on the dance floor from 7:30-9:00 p.m. This team needs 8 volunteers.

Sensory Support Team - First Shift
When: April 17th from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
What: The Sensory Support Team will provide a calm and supportive space for guests who need a quieter environment. They will help monitor noise levels and ensure guests feel safe and respected. The first shift will serve from 6:00-7:30 p.m.This team needs 3 volunteers.

When: April 17th from 7:30-9:00 p.m.
What: The Sensory Support Team will provide a calm and supportive space for guests who need a quieter environment. They will help monitor noise levels and ensure guests feel safe and respected. The first shift will serve from 7:30-9:00 p.m. This team needs 3 volunteers.

Bathroom Assistant Team - First Shift
When: April 17th from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
What: Bathroom Assistants will provide respectful help to any guests who may need assistance in the bathroom from 6:00-7:30 p.m. These team members must be comfortable offering practical support with dignity and discretion. This team needs 2 volunteers.

Bathroom Assistant Team - Second Shift
When: April 17th from 7:30-9:00 p.m.
What: Bathroom Assistants will provide respectful help to any guests who may need assistance in the bathroom from 7:30-9:00 p.m. These team members must be comfortable offering practical support with dignity and discretion. This team needs 2 volunteers.

Runners - First Shift
When: April 17th from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
What: Runners will float throughout the event and assist with various tasks such as restocking supplies, managing unexpected needs, helping redirect photo booth lines if needed, and supporting exit coordination from 6:00-7:30 p.m. This team needs 4 volunteers.

Runners - Second Shift
When: April 17th from 7:30-9:00 p.m.
What: Runners will float throughout the event and assist with various tasks such as restocking supplies, managing unexpected needs, helping redirect photo booth lines if needed, and supporting exit coordination from 7:30-9:00 p.m. This team needs 4 volunteers.

Set-Up Lead Team
When: April 17th from 1:00-4:30 p.m.
What: The Set-Up Team will oversee room setup, red carpet security, signage placement, and do a final walkthrough before the doors open. This team needs 10 volunteers.

Take Down Team
When: April 17th from 9:00-10:30 p.m.
What: The Take Down Team will help take down the decorations and put away the tables and chairs at the end of the event. Volunteers should arrive at 9:00 pm. This team needs 10 volunteers.
