The Women's Ministry at Creekside exists to provide a loving and welcoming place for women to come together and deepen their walks with God while building close friendships. We do this by meeting in small groups for Bible study, fellowship, prayer, service to the community, and fun activities.

There are a variety of Women's Community Groups that meet throughout the week. 

Below is a list of women's activities for this summer.


Mommy And Me
When: Tuesdays (except the first Tuesday of each month) from 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. 
Where: Creekside Community Room
What: Mommy and Me is a free, safe, and fun indoor playtime for infants through pre-k kids and their caregivers. It is open to the entire community. Get to know other local parents and caregivers, help your child meet new friends, and enjoy a room full of great and age appropriate activities!

Picnic At The Castro Valley Community Center
When: Wednesday, July 27th from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Where: Castro Valley Community Center (18988 Lake Chabot Road, Castro Valley)
What: Enjoy a potluck picnic together. There is a spray ground for children, so bring a swimsuit and towel.

How Much: Free! Please bring snacks or finger goods to share.

Walk At Lake Chabot
When: Wednesday, August 3rd from 10:00-11:30 a.m.
Where: Lake Chabot Park in Castro Valley
What: We will meet at the boathouse on the Castro Valley side of the park and then enjoy a lovely walk together. All are welcome to have lunch together at the new Lake Chabot Public Market in Castro Valley afterwards.

Family Friendly Movie Night
When: Monday, August 8th at 7:30 p.m.
Where: Creekside High School Room
What: Enjoy a movie, popcorn, chips, and drinks.

Walk Across The Golden Gate Bridge
When: Wednesday, August 17th from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Where: Meet at Creekside and then drive to the bridge.
What: Drive to the north side of the bridge, walk across (1.7 miles), eat packed lunches, and then walk back.
Who: Women and children
How Much: Money for gas (if you are not driving)

Studying the word together

Beth Moore DVD Study
When: Tuesday, June 21st, July 19th, and August 16th from 7:00-8:30 p.m.
Where: Katie Atwood's home in San Leandro
What: Watch a DVD of dynamic Bible teacher Beth Moore, discuss the lesson, and pray for each other.
Who: Women
How Much: Free

Jones Nursing Home
When: Thursday, June 16th, July 21st, and August 18th at 10:30-11:30 a.m.
Where: Jones Nursing Home at 524 Callan Ave. in San Leandro. There is parking on Huff Ave.
What: A sweet time of interacting with older adults through singing, Bingo, and balloon volleyball.
Who: Women and children of all ages
How Much: Free! Music, games, and supplies will be provided.

Cooking Dinner For Building Futures With Women And Children
When: Wednesday, June 22nd, July 27th, and August 24th from 2:00-4:00 p.m.
Where: Maggie Nonnenberg's home in San Leandro. 
What: Prepare dinner for women and children who are victims of domestic abuse and are living in a San Leandro shelter.

How Much: Free! All supplies will be provided.

Making Fleece Blankets
When: Wednesday, August 10th from 10:00-11:30 a.m.
Where: Creekside Middle School Room
What: Learn how easy and fun it is to make fleece blankets to share with children and older adultsin our community.
Who: Women and children 10 years or older
How Much: Free! All supplies will be provided.
