Again this year a group from Creekside Community Church have embarked on a short-term missions trip near Zeitz, Germany. We have teamed up again with the Evangelical Methodist Church to participate in their English Camp 2009. We will be teaching the English language to high school students in Germany.

We are staying in a place called Christoph Shule Gymnasium in Droyssig, Germany in Saxony.  It is a High School that was converted from a castle.  It is a fantastic structure with six levels and a huge courtyard in the middle.  It looks like it has about 500 rooms in the building.  We will only use a few for the English Camp.  

Please pray for the love of Jesus Christ to show through each of us during this English Camp. Sadly, only about 2% of the German population are practicing Christians, however this provides a wonderful opportunity to bring the light of truth and God’s gift of His Son to a group of young people, some of whom have never heard of Jesus Christ.

On our previous trips, we learned that many German students are hungry to hear about God, to know His Word, and that He cares for them deeply. Many of the students prayed to receive Christ as their Savior as a result of seeing God’s love in the Missions Team last year. We're hoping for even more this year.

Please pray for the success of the trip, for safety, for hearts to be sensitive to God's leading, and hearing His voice.
