SMALL GROUPS

At Creekside, we believe that life is a team sport – best done together! So we encourage you to check out our Fall 2008 Small Groups.  Small groups are a great way to meet new people, have fun and grow in your faith.

Each group has 10-15 people who meet together weekly for about an hour and a half to share their lives, study the Bible, pray, have fun, and serve the community. Check with the group leaders for specific start dates. You can sign up for the group of your choice in one of two ways:

  1. Sign up at any Sunday service.  Just write your name, contact information and the group you’re interested in on a prayer request slip and drop it in the offering box.

  2. Sign up online at www.creeksidecommunity.org

The group leader will contact you with more information. Don’t procrastinate!  Groups fill up fast.
If you have any questions about small groups at Creekside, contact John Bruce at (510) 430-0607.

Psalms
Real people with real emotions voicing real concerns to the one real God - this is the Book of Psalms. More than a simple hymnbook, the psalms expose us to how biblical Israel worshiped, what the people believed and, how they dealt with setbacks and successes. Using a topical structure, we will study psalms in logical groupings - laments with laments, praises with praises, psalms of trust with psalms of trust, etc. Our study also places some psalms seasonally with psalms of thanksgiving coming before Thanksgiving holiday, and Messianic psalms preceding Christmas. The format is an open discussion Bible Study. Preparation requires reading approximately ten psalms each week.
