Creekside's K-1st graders and 2nd-3rd graders each enjoy their own classes. Both start with a fun and creative project that relates to the morning's lesson, like designing a calendar, making a personal "Choose Your Own Adventure" book, or setting up a domino course. Then the classes enjoy a Bible story and crafts, games, and science activities that reinforce the concepts they learned in their story. They finish their time praying for each other.

Curriculum
At Creekside, we want children to grow to love God, love God's Word, and love people. In our K-3rd classes, our goal is to introduce the children to God's Word so that the will enjoy, understand, trust, and apply it. We do this by studying the entire Bible chronologically over the course of four years. We spend six months in the Old Testament and six months in the New Testament so that at the end of four years, children will know the basic story and chronology of the Bible.

Curriculum Handouts
When you pick up your child, be sure to take a copy of the curriculum we used that morning. It contains projects to do at home and questions that will help reinforce the concepts they learned on Sunday.

Check In And Check Out
When you arrive, please visit the Elementary Sign In Table in the Creekside lobby and write your child's name on the sign in sheet along with any pertinent information such as food allergies, where you will be sitting during the service, etc. Please also pick matching number stickers for you and your child to wear. Elementary children join their parents in the auditorium for worship and are released to their classes halfway through the service. When you pick up your child, the teacher will make sure that the numbers on your stickers correspond.

Snacks
We normally do not serve snacks in the K-1st or 2nd-3rd classes, but occassionally do a project that involves candy, decorating cookies, and the like. Please let your child's teacher know if your child has a food allergy.
