At Creekside, we want to lay a solid foundation of biblical truth that kids will continue to build on as they mature. When builders lay a foundation, they follow three primary steps: they prepare the gound, construct the forms of the foundation, and pour mortar into the forms. Our curriculum also follows three steps in laying a biblical foundation.

Preschool: Preparing the Ground
In preschool, we focus on preparing the ground. We introduce the children to 26 attributes of God as we study different stories from the Bible. This familiarizes kids with God and the Bible and prepares them for K-3rd grade, where they will study God's character and the Bible in greater depth. Our curriculum involves games, crafts, and experiements as well as plenty of free play time.

K-3rd Grade: Constructing The Forms
In K-3rd grade, we take kids through the entire story of the Bible in four years. By the end of this time, they should understand the basic storyline of the Bible and chronology of events, as well as have a growing appreciation of God's character. This provides a framework for the more abstract concepts they will discover in 4th and 5th grade. This curriculum involves singing, games, crafts, science experiements, a timeline, and weekly focus on praying for a different country.

4th-5th Grade: Pouring The Mortar
By the time kids reach 4th grade, they should have a solid understanding of the Bible, which allows them to understand themes such as salvation, lordship, worship, Bible study, and prayer. This curriculum involves games, crafts, and lots of opportunities for great discussion and prayer.
